Rust Removal Options
Occasionally, there are certain types of rust encountered, such as rust stains, or perhaps the situation may warrant a quick solution for one-time use. We will show you a few options and discuss the best rust removers for every surface.
Rust stains do not respond well to our rust remover concentrate. Rust stains around sink drains, on concrete, siding, Painted surfaces, etc. can only be removed with a dedicated Rust Stain Remover.
If you don't rely on larger quantities of rust remover or prefer not to mix a concentrated rust remover, there are Ready-To-Use rust removers such as WD-40 Specialist Rust Remover Soak available with similar chemistry. Since there is no mixing involved, you simply drop your item in the Ready-To-Use fluid and wait.
Other rust removers and removal methods are interesting and a few are hilarious! Many are acid based and much more dangerous to use. Speed of rust removal is their primary strength, however, they will remove good metal and flesh if not carefully monitored. Shipping may be exorbitant or they may not ship to your state. Several of the methods are purely mechanical in which sanding, grinding and wire wheels and brushes are involved.

ABOUT ESPRIT PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS
Esprit Performance Products were originally curated to aid my car and motorcycle restoration business, Esprit Motorsports. After learning how to remove rust the easy, eco-friendly way, I used Esprit PURE extensively and found it to be the best rust remover to use. In addition, all of our rust management products can be used for virtually any cast iron, steel, copper or brass objects.

HOW TO REMOVE RUST

Concentrate MUST be mixed with water or it will not work.

Remove ALL Dirt, oil, grease and other contaminants using hot soapy water. Remove ALL rust scale.

Mix concentrate with proper ratio of distilled water for optimum performance. Can be mixed stronger for severe rust or to speed the rust removal process.

The mixed rust remover may be heated to 150F to speed the rust removal process.

Keep checking to see if all rust is removed, otherwise continue to soak item.

Once all rust is removed, you will notice a soft black residue which is easily removed by washing in soapy water and rinsing. Pits and crevices may be cleaned using a soft bristle brush.

If fluid is not jet black, save for further use. Store in a closed container to prevent evaporation.

Large objects may have the fluid slowly re-circulated over them with the proper equipment. Contact us for assistance scaling a larger operation.
